Position of the Motherboard

Motherboard position depends on its cabinet model. There are two types of cabinet models currently available: 1. Tower Model 2. Desktop Model Tower Model: As the name indicates it is having more hight and less width in this kind of CPU cabinets the motherboards attached to the side of the box. Normally it is assembled just below the SMPS in the pc cabinet. Desktop Model: In this model the motherboard is placed on the base of the box just near to the SMPS or powersupply. There are other kind of Pcs called AIO (All in one Pcs) which integrated the CPU along with the monitor. In this type of Pcs Motherboard is placed behind the Monitor Screen. In computer hardware, a CPU socket providing mechanical and electrical connections between a microprocessor and a printed circuit board (PCB). This allows for placing and replacing the central processing unit (CPU) without soldering. For chips with a large number of pins, zero insertion force (ZIF) sockets are preferred  Zero insertion force (ZIF) socket wth  Pin Grid Array (PGA) Common sockets include Pin Grid Array (PGA) or Land Grid Array (LGA) . These designs apply a compression force once either a handle (PGA type) or a surface plate (LGA type) is put into place. Pin Grid Array (PGA) Chip Ball Grid Array (BGA) Chip This provides superior mechanical retention while avoiding the risk of bending pins when inserting the chip into the socket. Certain devices use Ball Grid Array (BGA) sockets, although these require soldering and are generally not considered user replaceable.
