Bus slot or expansion port, an expansion slot is a connection or port located inside a computer on the motherboard that allows a computer hardware expansion card to be connected. Types of Standard Expansion Bus Slots 1.Industry Standard Architecture (ISA) Bus Slot: Expansion slots which are used to enhance the features of the PC. ISA bus is 16 slot bus present in 80286, 80386, 80486,and Pentium systems. The ISA card is configured through jumpers or Swithches. All modern computers today no longer included the ISA slots.
